LockFlare

Website privacy policy

Last updated: September 2026.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the LockFlare website at lockflare.com (the "Website"), operated by LockFlare Corp, a corporation incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States ("LockFlare," "we," "us," or "our"). It covers your use of the Website only. Information processed by the LockFlare Lens application on your own computer never reaches us: Lens is air-gapped by design and does not connect to LockFlare.

2. Information we collect

We collect: (a) information you choose to send us directly by email, such as your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message; (b) the information you enter when you create an account or manage server licenses on the Website — your name, company, email address, password (stored hashed), industry, the number of servers you manage, how you plan to use Lens, and the IP addresses of the servers you license — which is sent to LockFlare's licensing API and kept as your account record; (c) payment details for paid server licenses, which are entered on and processed by Stripe — we receive a confirmation and never your card number; and (d) standard technical data generated by serving the Website, such as IP addresses, browser type, requested pages and timestamps, in server logs kept for security and operations. The Website uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization to count visits.

3. How we use information

We use this information to issue and renew your licenses, to respond to your inquiries, to operate, secure and improve the Website, and to keep business records of our correspondence. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies and tracking

The Website does not use advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits; any other cookies present are strictly necessary for delivering and securing the Website.

5. Downloads

The Website offers the LockFlare Lens application for download. Downloading the application does not itself create an account or transmit personal information beyond the technical data described above. Use of the application is governed by the license agreement presented in the application.

6. Data retention

Account and license records are kept for as long as the account exists. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business record-keeping. Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
